Best known for it’s stunning beaches, Gran Canaria is a holiday destination for many every year. But in this video we venture deeper into the islands star-gazing ancient civilisation, whose legend of the ‘Tibecena’ - spectral, dog-like creatures – still haunts the imagination of its locals.”
Our journey will take us from the Maspalomas dunes, to the Risco Caído, renowned for it’s tribal engravings, to the lush slopes of Agaete Valley, and then onto the Sacred Mountains and Roque Bentayga, a Unesco starlight destination.
And so the search for both the Legend, and its local storytellers begins...
